Mosaics of Mercy is an agency with a mission very dear to my heart. I could not be happier for the opportunity to re-enter the workforce with such a wonderful agency, working to help others who are experiencing a need for mental health resources.
I am a graduate of LSU where I received my B.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling (Geaux Tigers!) and Tulane University where I received my MSW. When my daughter was born, I made the decision to stay home and raise her. Two years later, I had a son. I continued to be a stay at home mom until both of my children had left for college. Throughout this time, I found the opportunities to continue utilizing my social work skills through volunteering and giving back to the communities in which we lived. I also was active in my children’s schools. I found these opportunities to be extremely rewarding and, luckily, these values were instilled in my children.
My family moved to the area in 2012 from Mandeville, LA. The transition to moving to the area when my children were in 3rd and 5th grades wasn’t an easy one but together we grew through the hardships. Within my family/extended family, we have dealt with divorce, ADHD, OCD, grief, anxiety and depression. I’m motivated to want to share resources and extend the reach of my help to others in need.
