The name of our podcast is Hope Pieced Together. The word in Mosaics of Mercy’s logo is hope. Why are we focused on hope? I think the Good News translation of Proverbs 13:12 says it concisely, “When hope is crushed, the heart is crushed.”
We have expectations or hopes for our lives and the lives of our loved ones. When those don’t come to fruition due to death, divorce, mental health struggles, physical ailments, addiction, etc., we find ourselves anxious, depressed, and possibly even spiritually depleted. Mosaics of Mercy was founded by people who, at one point in their lives, found hope crushed due to their mental health struggles or their loved ones. We know how important it is at that moment to hear the stories of hope from people who have traveled that same road. So we share our personal stories of hope and have others in our community do the same.
Sometimes when our heart is crushed, and we can’t find our own hope, we have to borrow it from someone else. It will help us keep putting one foot in front of the other until we can get ours back.
