HEALING AND ARTISTIC SELF-EXPRESSION
An Evening with Fantasy Fiction Author JM Buckler and
Beauty in Brokenness© Creator/Facilitator Amy Hauser
You know there is something more to life, but find yourself spinning through the same internal messages and external struggles. This mental cycle seems to stop you from getting to that elusive next level. Perhaps you have turned to unhealthy choices along the way, desperate to make it through – whether rooted in childhood violence, chronic illness, relationship struggles, mental health challenges, or otherwise. You’re looking for a longer-lasting solution, something deeper within, but you’re just not sure what it is or how to access it.
This special evening is for anyone interested in exploring various tools for healing, no matter where you are in your journey, and is tailored for creative and linear people alike. Together, we’ll explore the power of self-expression – learning how to tap into our imagination and playfulness, accessing the expansive sense of self that many of us have not felt since we were very young children.
Storytelling by JM Buckler and Amy Hauser, both will share how they turned their own lives around through writing and art. You will have the opportunity to put theory into practice – with self-expression exercises that are accessible to all. Following the workshop, there will be book signings by JM Buckler and a raffle for gift baskets. Mosaics of Mercy will have their signature hearts available.
About the Facilitators:
Featured in top national media including First for Women and Woman’s World and top local media including Texas affiliates of ABC and NBC, JM Buckler is the award-winning author of Seeker of Time, Stillness of Time, and Passage of Time, young adult fantasy-fiction books which have received praise from the likes of Kirkus Reviews and which have been best-selling young adult books on Amazon. Game-changers in the young adult marketplace, Buckler’s novels combine electric storytelling with deep spiritual lessons and meaningful takeaway on how to cope with life’s hardships – addressing everything from betrayal and heartbreak, to violence and death.
Buckler offers writing-based programs to diverse audiences – teaching how to use the power of the pen to reshape and reclaim one’s life, as Buckler did when she began her own writing journey: After years of drifting through life, feeling insecure and lacking a sense of meaning or purpose – always trying to be the image and fill role that others held out for her – Buckler took a leap of faith and walked out on the person she was supposed to be, instead diving into the world of her imaginary characters. Through developing their lives, Buckler discovered that she cultivated her own – ultimately finding her calling and passion, transforming her reality, and emerging a grounded and confident young woman. Mosaics of Mercy co-founder Amy Hauser is a 9-year Breast Cancer survivor. She thrived through her healing journey and gives credit to the process of her God-inspired writing, which she did almost every day – throughout chemotherapy, illness, three surgical procedures, and a season of chronic pain. Once declared “cancer-free”, she and her husband Tom published In His Grip…a Walk Through Breast Cancer, among other related publications through Made For More ministry. These efforts were all the result of the deeper internal healing that came through the choice of using the written expression.
Amy Hauser also used mosaic art as a path of healing through depression, relational hardships, loss, cancer, and family addiction and has cultivated this artistic self-expression from a little message of hope to a creative Beauty in Brokenness© experiential workshop, now offered through Mosaics of Mercy.
